Tattoo designs that are available for you to find resonance in. I typically create my premeditated drawings without a specific outcome in mind, interpreting their messages after drawing them. Sometimes I focus on a subject or intention in my mind's eye, while other times I clear my mind altogether. I always connect to my heart, to spirit, to my nature guides, and allow creation to flow through me.
The act of drawing becomes a meditation, a prayer, an ode to what is most alive within me.
I am open towards adding to a design to create an unique story for you. Or to use a design as inspiration to create a custom tattoo.
When I seek lightness of being, I look up at the sky above me. The way the buzzards and butterflies collaborate with air, and in trust experience true freedom. I let my soul soar up up up, grounding myself in perspective.
When I need to feel understood and be held, I spend time with the ocean. Singing my song of sorrow into her vastness, feeling encouraged by her mothering to release my tears fiercely. The current of heartache rippling through my being.
When I long to feel connected to spirit, I engage with plants and trees. Touching, burning, smelling, ingesting or simply offering my presence in admiration. I sit by a tree and travel deep down to the core of the earth. Feeling still, solid, unshakable.
For balance and harmony, I seek rhythm and movement.
Cycles reflected in the moon, the seasons and my bleed, remind me of the fluidity of things. Birth, Life, Death. Everything has a start, a life and an end. And then, if you zoom out, it comes again.
A dot, a seed, an egg, a drop of blood or water, a grain of sand, an atom, a portal, the earth from far, far away. It is the symbol of untapped potential. The start of anything. When gathered and ordered in pattern, they become divine creation, cosmic order, life, fate, magic, a path upon the infinite.
Art is how I connect to and reflect on the wisdom written on the bones and carried by the breath of existence. It is how I honour and connect to divine mystery.
